The Oahu Circle Island Tour: Four Coasts in One Day
Waikiki is about two miles of Oahu's coastline. This tour takes you round the rest of it, and we leave early because the H-1 into town and Kamehameha Highway on the North Shore both clog by mid-afternoon.

A circle island tour is a full-day trip around the whole island of Oahu, with nine stops at landmarks, lookouts, beaches and food stops along the way. Our route covers four regions: the South Shore, the Windward Coast, the North Shore and Central Oahu, and finishes back in Waikiki the same day.
How long is the Oahu circle island tour?
The tour lasts about 9 hours and 30 minutes, door to door. You are back at your Waikiki pickup point in the early evening.
What stops are on the circle island tour?
Nine stops: Diamond Head Lookout, Halona Blowhole, Leonard's Bakery, a macadamia nut farm, Mokolii (Chinaman's Hat), Tanaka's Kahuku Shrimp for lunch, Turtle Beach, the North Shore fruit stands and the Dole Pineapple Plantation. The bus also passes Hanauma Bay, Kualoa Ranch, Banzai Pipeline and Haleiwa Town.

Does the Oahu tour pick up from Waikiki hotels?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off are free from 6 Waikiki points: Hotel Renew, Ka Lai Hotel, La Croix Hotel, Red Lobster (Hobron Lane entrance), Ross Dress for Less and Waikiki Resort Hotel. If your hotel is not near one of these, call us before booking and we will confirm whether it is in the pickup zone.
Where can you see turtles on the tour?
At Turtle Beach on the North Shore, where green sea turtles (honu) feed and rest close to shore. It is the longest stop of the day at 1 hour 15 minutes, so there is time to swim or snorkel. Snorkel gear can be rented on site.
Can you drive around Oahu in one day?
Yes. The full loop fits in one day, and that is exactly what this tour does: south along Diamond Head and the Kaiwi coast, up the Windward side, across the North Shore and back through Central Oahu to Waikiki. Traffic around Honolulu is the main variable, which is why the day starts early.

Is the tour good for families with kids?
Yes. The mix of lookouts, food stops and the Turtle Beach swim works well for most ages. Infants are welcome but must sit on a lap. Strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and scooters cannot be taken on the vehicle.
Do I need to book the Oahu tour in advance?
Yes, especially in peak season. Online booking closes 7 hours before departure, but dates often fill earlier than that, so booking 24 to 48 hours ahead is safest.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before your tour for a full refund. Cancellations inside 24 hours are not refunded. If we cancel for weather or anything else on our side, you get a full refund.
Is lunch included in the price?
No. Lunch is at Tanaka's Kahuku Shrimp on the North Shore, where you buy your own plate. Vegetarian options are available. Bring cash or a card.
